Ron Wells
Steel Guitar
Return to Band

Ron was raised in Beltsville, Maryland, a suburb of Washington, D.C. He and his family now live in Kinston, North Carolina. Ron learned and began playing steel guitar at the age of twelve by playing along with his family’s country and gospel record collection. Those years of practice and dedication led him to be one of the band members of the Dixie Melody Boys. Ron was part of this award winning band for seven years. He has also been involved in record promotions with radio stations across the country and has played on several record productions for various groups as a studio musician. Ron is very active at his church and enjoys a good round of golf. He is quick to brag about the fact that he plays in the low 70’s ... but says that if it gets any colder than that, he doesn’t like to play... Whether it’s in the studio or on stage, you will enjoy the craftsmanship of Ron Wells. He is a fantastic addition to the Jamboree Band, and we are honored to have him aboard!
