Schreck |
Yes, that is his real name! August 16, 1977 is a day that we all will remember; the day Elvis Presley died. Elvis Schreck’s mother was a very big Elvis Presley fan and at the time of his death, she was pregnant with a baby boy. On January 1, 1978 that baby boy was born. She made a deal with her husband, which was to name the baby after him if she could also name him after Elvis Presley. The Schrecks’ introduced to the world their new bundle of joy as ‘Charles Elvis Schreck.’ But, little did they know that “little Elvis” would sing and sound so much like Elvis Presley. He has been singing all his life, but it was at 10 years of age that he knew he wanted to make singing a career. He listened to Elvis’ recordings and wanted to know more about his namesake. From the first note out of his mouth, you too will agree that Charles Elvis sounds like the “King.” Elvis continues today to keep the memory of Elvis Presley alive and he does it well! He sings and performs at all kinds of functions including weddings, parties and festivals. He has performed at the NC State fair and on Arthur Smith’s “Carolina Callin” TV show, which appears on the UNC-TV network. This blonde hair, blue eyed performer thrills every audience with his rendition of Elvis. Whether it is a Rock & Roll tune, a Rhythm & Blues ballad or a Gospel song, you’ll be amazed at the talent of Elvis Schreck. He doesn’t dress in the famous jumpsuit; his hair isn’t cold black; but, if you’ll close your eyes as he sings, you’ll know that Elvis is in the building… Elvis Schreck that is! The Jamboree show is proud to have this amazing talent on the roster. He’s a shy one when you talk to him, but when he hits the stage, he is Mr. Excitement! |
